(Disclaimer: We don’t own “King of the Road”
or “LOTR”, although I did find Sam down the
back of the sofa and Pippin smacked me in
the jaw... “That hurt!” My sister made him do it.)

I had to sell Bag End
Left town with a couple of friends.
I had to get to Bree
Took my friend Sam with me,
ah but, The Enemy has many spies
and they’re all ruled by one big flaming Eye.
Got to get to Mount Doom with no mushrooms
Get off the road!

Met with Merry and Pip,
Farmer Maggot was about to flip.
Then we got to the Prancing Pony
Gandalf wasn’t there waiting for me
then we, Met with a man named Strider
then got attacked by evil Black Riders
Got to get to Mount Doom with no
mushrooms,
Get off the Road

We finally made it on to fair Rivendell
And found I had to take it and destroy it as well
A Fellowship would have to go on with the
Ring
You need people of intelligence on this sort of
thing, I sing
