There Came A Day At Summer's Fall



When it is warm
and green I search the day

To find an open book
that finds me think

In dreams at odds
For Summer's secret way

A thought as swift as
a youth's heart seems to sink



I watch the "Summer Magic"
in the dust

My favorite things go by
as felicity dies

'Cross trees I spy youth's
games as thick as locust

As the dream has fallen
where truths at a love - tryst lies
