Meat
I like the taste of meat. A good hamburger, some grilled chicken, a juicy steak-all things I like the taste of. However, I'm having a problem lately. I can't think about what I'm eating when I eat meat or I'll lose my appetite.

It's getting to be awfully inconvenient. I've always had a problem eating meat when I've prepared it myself (or seen it raw), and forget about me even trying to eat it if it in any way still resembles the animal (like a whole chicken). But, this is different. I'll order chicken fettuccine and then pick out all the chicken. Or, I'll be eating a hamburger while I'm driving and pass some cows. In the past I wouldn't have thought, "Wow, I'm eating Bessie's cousin." Now, I'll chunk the hamburger and make a meal of my fries.

This next part is gross, but for some reason, I keep making this crazy connection. One thing I hate about the roads in Texas at this time of year is all the roadkill. The odd thing is that each time I see some mangled animal on the road, I think of how gross eating meat is (maybe because of how the mangled animals look like raw meat?). I don't understand any of this! Okay, I really like animals, so I don't like to think about eating them, but I've always done it and they taste good! However, I'm psyching myself out or something, and I can't seem to get over it.

It's not like I'm setting out to be a vegetarian, and some days I can get past it, but other times, I don't seem to have control. It's weird and nuts!
