Summer 2005
It was a horrible summer. So dry I can't remember a dry summer like this. I know we had them but it makes rainy days seem great now.

I water only my favorite plants...hate doing that but what do you do. We have a well and I like taking showers and having clean clothes:) So..I just spot water my plants. Hate it. Makes me feel guilty.

But while trimming this morning I found this great find....A brand new Monarch. It had just come out of it's cocoon. I found three. It was awesome.

This is what makes gardening fun.

A find in the garden this morning. A new Monarch just coming out of the cocoon.

On another note I writing to say I only found one praying mantis this year which is unreal. Last year I had hundreds. So I don't know if it's because of the cold spring we had or what happened. Sad...I enjoy watching these interesting insects.
