Solemn Heart
A solemn heart is broken
left torn, no chance of repair
yet does the one who broke it,
my one true love, even care

I dare not ask forgiveness
for fear I'd make things worse
I sit in a dank dark corner
feeling as if in a curse

my life seems as if over
yet still I am here
but each breath makes it harder
for I've lost what I hold dear
