*Balloon1* *Balloon1* *Balloon1* Hello! *Balloon1* *Balloon1* *Balloon1*

Weather where I am: 65º and moist

Weather where my cousin Carol is in Jamestown, NY: 66º

Weather in Malmö, Sweden: 59º and finally Spring!

Le Hockey

Well, my Sabres beat up on Philadelphia 7 - 1 yesterday and that puts a smile on my face. Next victim? Ottawa.

No news about my hockey poems yet. Should be published this month, but don't know when I'll actually see them in print.

Some to read: "Glice

Argh, in rereading them, I'm not happy ... just gotta learn to let go ...

Drought or flood?

Walked to the library in a bit of a downpour. We've had some good rains. This is good for the reservoirs but we could still end up in drought. It all depends on where and when and how much rain falls. This river town has had severe floods in the past. The most recent in the 90s when the entire Mid-west was under water. Nature asserts herself. When it rains I imagine that she's pissed off.

I noticed that most of the things I sense are passive (seen or heard) instead of active. When I crush thyme or mint or lean over to smell an iris that's active. When I splash in a puddle like a child, that's active too! Do we become more passive with age? Just a thought ... *Delight*.

SENSED

Smelled: rose petals; iris.
Seen: mist; orange poppies; last tulip petals; purple chives; red quince flowers; rabbit.
Heard: starling-song; rain on umbrella.
Felt: wet pants from the rain.
Noticed: diversity of the ghetto alleyways; rabbit-robin-cardinal, all within 3 feet of each other.
Created: splash in a puddle.

Richard League wanted me to write a poem for G W Bush and call it "Decider Man"! based on his quote, "I decide." And he only wants it by tomorrow *Laugh* for Tea @ 3. Now, I'm not good at political wit but this is what I have so far ...

Decider Man

De Cider Man goes buys a bushel;
he cuts dem apples in two.
Den smirky, readin' duh little seeds,
devines what's truly true.

De Cider Man will never waste,
unless its money or you,
so smirky, he quick eat dem up
(only nachural highs will do).

And what would I say
to De Cider man
if only I had the chance?
I'd wave me little arms
and smirk,
"Bye-bye, you've had your dance!"

Actually, I wrote most of this right now on-line. *Smile* When da writin' bug bite, I try not to cry or complain!

As for reviewers to thank, I can add: zwisis, chalaedra, inbuninbu-- in Japan!! .

I need to review more. I have 772 viewable reviews on file that I've received. I've only given 423 that are stored. ... more work ... *Rolleyes*. I've been focused on blogging these last two months.
