play
12 Izzat 163 B.E. – September 19, 2006

It is time to play again. The interesting thing about playing with a journal is Freudian Slips. Speaking of Freudian Slips a poet friend of mine attended a Halloween poetry reading a couple of years ago wearing a Freudian Slip. She wore a knee length black slip with the word Freudian Slip written on a post it note and pinned to the hem of the slip. Well there goes that idea for a leading entry.

It is time to play again. My Inner Critic is really acting up right now. Strewing the seeds of irrational fears through my mind as I check out the journals of the other contestants in this contest, I’d list the irrational fears here, but if I did that my entry would be too big. I don’t think I ever wrote about naming my Inner Critic in this journal. I did name my Critic, I entered the contest "Invalid Item"   by A Guest Visitor and in my entry, "Invalid Item"   by A Guest Visitor , I named my Critic Evil Whisperer also know as E.W.. In that entry I gave E.W. a gender as well. Evil Whisper is male, now why I a woman would give my inner critic the opposite gender is another Freudian Slip, but I decided to leave it in the entry anyway. I still have to give Evil Whisper an appearance, I’m considering making him a spider, but since I have arachnophobia that may be going a little too far.

I had a dream about a spider last night. Not my usually spider dream, in this one I found a spider laying dead beneath a book. The dead spider was quite big and its eight legs stuck out from under the book that lay on top of its body. I didn’t see a name on the book, all I know or can remember about it (the book) was that it was hardbound and not a paper back.

I thank that’s all I have to say for now. Especially since I’ve trimmed my leading entry ideas down by at least three.
