PARTING: a sonnet
PARTING: a sonnet

My dear we do part company today,
Each other’s presence we just can’t endure.
It’s just that our life went a bit astray.
It does not mean we don’t love any more.

Let’s watch out we don’t start a new blame game.
That will not serve any useful purpose,
Except that it will surely bring bad name
And a stigma attached to both of us.

The path of love has never been smoothless.
Love started once cannot be guaranteed.
When acrimony is beyond redress,
Why not from this shallow bond we be freed?

Let’s be thankful for those good days we spent.
Let’s not for the bad days spent now repent.
