Scarlet
12 Qudrat 163 B.E. - November 15, 2006

Scarlet is a beautiful color, especially when it is the morning or evening sky. There is an old saying

Red sky at morning,
Sailors’ take warning,
Red sky at night,
Sailors’ delight.

but I never think of a cloudy evening or morning sky as being red. For me that type of sky is always either scarlet or pastel pink. Sometimes the morning sky in Las Vegas is pastel pink.

The cloud covered evening sky is scarlet, deep vibrant scarlet. That’s how the sky was a while back (don’t ask me if it was a few days or a week) and it rained during the night. It didn’t thunder or lightning, it just rained. I woke up the next day and there was water on the ground.

This morning the eastern was pastel pink. There were no clouds, so I think the color had something to do with the pollution. At a certain time of morning there is always a pink hue to the eastern sky clouds of not. It’s a pretty color and most people don’t notice.

I don’t suppose I would notice if I didn’t get up so early. This morning I got up at 2:00 a.m., but normally I get up or perhaps I should say wake up at 3:00 or 4:00 o’clock in the morning. I wake up and then I lay in bed a few minutes to see if I go back to sleep. I haven’t been going back to sleep lately, so I get up, go into the living room and look at the clock.
