As Long As You Are Near
Where do I start, I know there is not enough hours in a day,
Especially not when you have a thousand things to say.
But my lady where did I go wrong? Where did passion interject?
When did it creep up cotton stairs onward to my soul,
When did it start to become blind and the world it did reject?

Tis nothing but a pressure in the heart like in the head?
This pressure found its way to my heart so it bled.
I could entomb my heart with strong heavy stone,
But you would pick at my heart until it became a heart alone,
If I was to blind my heart with darkness so it couldn’t see,
You would find a light so pure darkness would never shroud me.

Perfect wonders reveal themselves as long as you are near,
As long as you can touch my heart there is nothing left to fear.
Be not I the perfect coward nor the perfect to be brave,
I am just as well as what I am, for you and you for me,
All wonders share their space with I, and love’s chaos can behave.
