My life is full of insurmountable opportunities,
Moments when a simple thank you
Or a whispered I love you
Is enough to turn the hardest heart
Into flowing lava
Transforming a demons from hell
To an angel singing praises to
The unknowable essence of God.

It isn't difficult to melt ice
To transform a frozen cold heart into water
or wine.

The miracle is to soften a hard heart,
To change a heart of stone
Into island creating lava
Where plants grow
And animals graze;
A new piece of land
That in a few decade
Will give shelter to people and animals;
A place where houses, villages and cities
Will prosper.

2008 is upon us and it's time to find the insurmountable opportunities that will transform the world we are living in to the world we would like to inhabit. It's time to make changes in ourselves that translate into changes in our surroundings and our world.

It's interesting that we often think of obstacles as insurmountable but never opportunities. Perhaps it's about time to revamp our thinking and change the insurmountable obstacles in our lives to insurmountable opportunities.

I know that I'm going to attempt it. I don't know how good a job I'll do, but it never hurts to try. It's especially good to attempt something new and different because it keeps you young and out of ruts.
