I've had a break through

I finally wrote a story about an adoptee meeting her birth mother. This is a subject I've avoided for sometime now. I'm a birth mother, who hasn't meant the daughter she gave up for adoption. Therefore, I've avoided the subject for a long time. However, on January 19, I wrote a Flash Fiction story on that subject. The story "The Ambassador's Daughter (1/19/08)"  is located in "Flashes of Lightning"  [18+] and takes place on the moon.

I'm not sure just yet if I can write anything closer, but I'm going to work on putting the subject in other stories and poems. Lately I've found I can face a lot of things I couldn't just a year ago. Maybe it's everything I've went through in the past year. Maybe it's being in my sixties and realizing my life is getting shorter. Maybe it's just that my faith is stronger then it used to be. I don't know, but I'm looking forward to putting other things in stories that I haven't faced before. It could also be that I've been on writing.com several years and am feeling secure.

I know I'm becoming less afraid as the days move along. I'm more confident then I used to be. I'm more willing to just let go and let God take care of the problem. I'm not saying that I've lost my fear of whatever it is I'm afraid of completely, but I'm working on it. I'm working on worrying less and praying more. I'm working on seeing the unexpected solution to my problems then the solution I want.
