Suzanna's basket
Suzanna's basket

Look into my basket ...
find the one that's chosen you.

These stones are thankful,
riven from the rock and tossed about,
they've lost their bite and mellowed
to a polished touch.
They've rolled down rivers,
streams or brooks
to look
within you.
Now look back and
see inside them common clay,
what you'll return to soon, someday,
pressed into a humble stone.

Come,
look inside my basket ...
find the one that's chosen you.
