I had L.T. today (I.K.'s roommate). I learned how to fill a portable oxygen tank, take care of someone with 4+ pitting edema, and organize a recreational activity for several residents with different ability levels. It was a little challenging at first, but seeing them smile and hearing them laugh was well worth it.

I was paired with Tea, and both of our residents avoided socializing and meeting people. We wanted to do something that would stimulate their minds as well as provide them with an opportunity to mingle. We decided on a game of Jenga.

We each wheeled our clients down to the small dining room, let them pick a table, and introduced them to each other. Shortly after the game started they were smiling, and by the time we finished they were laughing. My resident told Tea's resident that it was nice meeting her, and that she hoped to see her again.

Our activity was a success!
