A Rainy Day in Las Vegas
dark charcoal gray clouds
the wind blowing through the trees
damp and dreary day

the sound of raindrops
dripping off the metal roof
of the patio

patter splat patter
raindrops fall in the puddle
forming in the yard
(7 ‘Alá’, 169 B.E.)
