The April 15, 2013 prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" is Do you think the weird weather we have been experiencing is an indication of global warming or something else? There is an old saying that goes something like this "Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it." At least, no one intentionally does anything about the weather; however, life affects its environment and, since part of a planets environment is the weather, life can unintentionally have either adverse or positive way. Is the ode weather an indication of global warming, which has an affect on climate change, or is it just a part of the natural long term weather pattern of Earth. I suspect that part of the problem is global warming, but I'm not sure it can be blamed for all the weird weather that occurring. Whether or not global warming can be blamed for all the weird weather isn't important. The important thing is global warming is a climate change element humans can do something about. According to Global Warming Solutions1 there are five steps that we can take to solve or at least alleviate the problem: Pollution limits2 Clean energy and green jobs3 Drive cars that use less or no fossil fuels4 Make our homes energy efficient5 Use smart growth technique to construct more efficient communities and transportation systems6 Take action over that which we have control and leave the rest up to God. Food for Thought: "Dealing with global warming doesn't mean we have all got to suddenly stop breathing. Dealing with global warming means that we have to stop waste, and if you travel for no reason whatsoever, that is a waste." - David Attenborough Footnotes |
