Happy Thanksgiving
I just went for a walk. It's a little chilly here in Gainesville, Florida, today with a high predicted in the sixties. The sky was that solid blue that made me think of the puzzles I used to do when I was little. There were only a few mare's tails stretching across the east. Usually, they indicate colder weather and I guess it is coming. My daughter in Delaware says snow is expected for Thanksgiving in her neck of the woods :).
I am feeling sad today for all the turkeys that are being slaughtered to make a "nice meal" for Thanksgiving. I cannot quite get my head around people who say they are animal lovers and continue to eat meat...just seems hypocritical to me. Sorry if I am offending you, but it bothers me.
Food is not at the top of my thankful list but I realize for a lot of people it is, and I can empathize with that. I am thankful to be alive, to be able to make choices, and to try to do what I feel is right. I can only imagine. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone....
