Day 5 Challenge: Deep thoughts and fun facts
I think we have all seen some of Jack Handy's work, Deep Thought's by Jack Handy, and 'Fun Facts' show up in all sorts of publications for all ages. My son loved 'Fun Facts' books ever since he was a young reader, and enjoys writing his own, which (in my opinion) are pretty awesome.

I enjoy Jack Handy's work. One of my favorites is: It seemed as if the crows were calling out his name, thought Caw.

Prompt for February 5, 2015: Knowing what you now know about 'Deep Thoughts' and 'Fun Facts' Write a few of your own. Write as many as you want, but try to write at least two of each.

Brother Joel gives me too much credit. I am either too young or too old to know this Handy guy. And his deep thought really suck. Mine are much better.

These things are must teaches for your children....no fooling around here .... These are the best gifts I gave my children

My 2 Deep thoughts so deep you might want to get your hip waders on

When your kids turn about 15 or 16,give your kids life choices. These will be things that will direct their future and all choices will be based on these. From the time they turn 15 or 16 until about 25 or 26 everything will be first choices in certain areas, and everything else will be based on these.. I always ended my teaching with: So make smart choices because they will affect you for the rest of your life.

Everyone should have a job in these two areas: 1) customer service, waiter/waitress -- so you learn how to treat people of all walks of life....2) bill collecting or law enforcement -- so that you can tell when you are being lied to.

Fun Facts:

On average an inch of rain can become one foot of snow. It's true: back on July of 1988 I think it was the Twin Cities got hit with about 10 inches of rain within an hour and flooded a bunch of places. The weather forecasters kept repeating over and over be glad it's not snow or it would be ten feet high. Buffalo NY knows what I am talking about.

In 1755 the red dust from the Sahara desert caused red snow to fall over Europe when the dust became condensation nuclei for flakes. (I was there when it happened. It's true. Trust me.)
