Daily Blog Challenge Prompt: Should Washington, D.C. become it's own state? If you do not reside in the U.S., but your nation's capital city is within a particular area of the country, do you see that as being a detriment or an advantage to where you live? I reside in Canada, and we just celebrated our nation's birthday. The capital city is Ottawa, and located in the province of Ontario . I just happen to call this glorious province home, but it's a humongous province. Ottawa may be reached after a five hour trip, and I have visited there many times. From my birthplace in southern Ontario I once had to endure a ten hour trip to access our capital. I've never worked or had business there, so it's location is neither an advantage or disadvantage. It is where it is. I suppose a capital city in Quebec would not be ideal, but only because this province has entertained plans to separate from Canada, and its politicians favour the French language. I'm sorry, but I'm not in the mood for a long blog tonight. Returning to our campsite this evening in our newer mini van, my hubby and I struck a large deer and killed it. Waiting for the police to arrive and file a report, we fed swarms of mosquitoes . This was too much excitement for us.Oh well, accidents do happen.
