Prepositions are pesky propositions

Writing Classroom prompt January 7, 2017

Aside from telling a very humorous account of a situation from my own past, today's Writing Classroom assignment is the often misunderstood subject of prepositions. The prompt asks that we write four sentences using prepositions and highlight the prepositions in some fashion. Here are mine:

I found her sitting alone beneath the bridge.

The poor dog was very frightened during the thunderstorm.

It was found sitting underneath the kitchen sink.

Please, could you turn on the lights?
