The 30 Day Blogging Challenge Prompt for January 15 is " love McDonalds' Chicken McNuggets. I would probably still eat them if you pulled a gun on me . Your grubby gun-toting fingers won't dare pull a trigger on my enjoyment. What food item would make you stare down the barrel of a gun and be like "Nah bruh, I'm busy here on this..."?"

I have actually stared down the barrel of guns before at practically point blank range so I can tell you from experience that no matter how much i may love a food, I'm not going too continue eating it if there is a gun in my face telling me not too. Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of needs would stop me cold because my physical need of survival much outweighs the psychological need of pleasure. However there is something edible that I would die for in a flat minute and wouldn't hesitate. In fact, I'd encourage them to shoot. That would be the bread and fruit of the vine of communion. In that case I believe my courage and my beliefs would overcome even Maslow's hierarchy of needs and like the girl at Columbine High School, tell the gunman they can kill me if they want but I still believe in my God. Jesus said "Those who declare publicly that they belong to me, I will do the same for them before my Father in heaven. But those who reject me publicly, I will reject before the Father in heaven," Matthew 10: 32 - 33.

There aren't a lot of things worth dying for. Food and pleasure certainly aren't worth dying for. The only things I can think of right off the top of my head that would be worth dying for are my beliefs such as my faith, my freedom, and my family. Aside from that a gun man could have every drop of chili or every noodle my my mom ever made. Now if I were to take a bullet to taste my mom's home cooking one last time, made by her living, breathing,, healthy body...I'd load the gun and make sure it was cleaned well so it would fire!
