The Blog City Prompt Forum prompt for February 28 is "What happens when we deny our difficult emotions, at least the ones we think are difficult to face?

As a mental health consumer (patient) and as a psychology student I can answer that in three words. We get sick! Denial may be a good temporary coping mechanism but it's long term effects are devastating as documented by tons of empirical data and research and countless hours of people's personal experiences.
