Letter from Home

To my hero,

What's it like to be a price charming? In all those Disney stories you hear of the white knight charging in on his steed to save one little damsel in distress from the fiery dragon. Well, I believe you're the white knight, the country is the damsel and the fiery dragon is war and terror... and fear. I like to think that instead of fighting wars our soldiers are fighting fear, keeping it at bay, keeping us safe.

I'm from Australia, a long way from where you are I assume. We're a long way from everybody down here. Each year here in Canberra we have a dawn service where we remember the ANZAC soldiers who fought for us, but I always like to think of the people who are still fighting for us. Like you.

I hope you make it back home soon, where you can be with friends and drink a beer with your mates around the BBQ, or where you can just sit and relax and watch the sunset.

But until you make it home, just remember there are people out here thinking of you, thanking you. Always.
