October Novel Prep Challenge

Today's assignment was a lot easier for me than the first three. This is because I had actually written an opening chapter over ten years ago. Sadly, and very dishearteningly, this was 'lost' when I suffered a monumental personal disaster, (please don't ask). Together with the work I've done in the last three days, I sped through the assignment in about half an hour.

This is good because I felt I needed to take time to consider tomorrow's assignment, which won't be easy. I simply do not have a climax yet.

So, I have begun thinking about this, and an obvious way forwards is to consider the specific threats offered by my antagonists. My plan is simple, I am going to sit down and plot with them. At this point I should like you to be very afraid, my major problem with writing bad guys is making them incredibly dangerous. They don't, for example, waste time explaining their intentions to the hero for the audiences benefit. Perhaps I shall have to bribe them to be a little less invincible.

In summation, I'm starting brainstorming tomorrow's assignment now, hopefully something useful will come of this.

BTW - Did I mention my ambition to make use of all the face emoticons?
