I'm JACE , and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Notre Dame in Paris" .

I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story.

  Overall Impression. I chose your letter particularly because I have visited Paris and seen Notre Dame, first in 1980, and more recently in 2016. My wife and I visiting in 1980 were able to attend an Easter service. Two and a half years after that last visit, Notre Dame had a devastating fire as I'm sure you heard. I'm amazed that only five years later the cathedral is near re-opening.

Pictures cannot catch the magnitude and grandeur of the cathedral. My night shot remains one of my favorite pics taken while traveling Europe.

Your story is both a travel and a romantic tale. It adds another layer to your reminiscences. You don't really say, but I wonder if your letter is non-fiction. If so, I hope for a favorable outcome of your pending romance.

Your writing is very descriptive and a joy to read. I could 'see' in my mind each site that you described allowing those memories of mine to resurface.

  Technical and Editorial Considerations. I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing here--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc.

           I think 'in' should be 'of'.   ... but a local vender explained they were in the kings of Israel and Judea from the Old Testament.  

          I wonder if this should be Montmartre, as in the district and Basilica of the Sacré-Cœure.   Café De Montrartre
