What I liked:

*Bulletv* I, also, entered this contest, and my hook was way less interesting than yours. You have come up with a unique idea, and it made me smile to read it. The notion of a "cutthroat survivor sport" makes it sound super exciting. Kind of like a 'Takeshi's Castle' over sand.

*Bulletv* You set the scene for this story to take place by telling us that all the water on earth has evaporated. It makes me wonder what kinds of people, or creatures, would be left to compete, as all life here at the moment requires water. Some kind of aliens, maybe.

*Bulletv* Your prompt makes my brain start working out I would write this story, and this is a long way from the genre I normally write. But, I have questions and suggestions, and I find it very interesting.


Suggestions:

I have no suggestions. Only questions. Have you thought about the story you would write for this, or is it a hook you wrote for the contest, and you don't intend to write? I could definitely imagine this leading to a short story or, even, a book.
