It is truly a thoughtful prose poem. The teller understands that he is usually getting late. So, the success will remain out of reach once again. That makes him a bit frustrated.
He learned from his previous mistakes, the patience played a key role. So, he rearranges himself and prepares for a better result.
It's a lesson of life which can't be earned without proper experiences.
It is a valuable addition.
