a poem on birthdays...one i think is worth looking at.

Beyond the pain of childbirth lies a feeling beyond will,
A powerful connection sending waves no one can still.
A baby has been born with an unknown destination.
It has slid into this world with Cupid's invitation.

The day some one is born is a day stuffed with potential.
It makes a man contemplate the meaning of essential.
The parents make their sacrifices for their children's minds,
For in a year their thoughts will form--all sorts of different kinds.

Every year we recall our trip around a golden star.
We do more than just rejoice and think about who we are.
We know life has many turns, and we choose the ones we take.
For birthdays don't make us older...birthdays just help us make.
