She tentatively wipes away the mist with slow strokes
The mirror in the bathroom is clouded with steam.
A bony hand runs across the moisture covered surface.
A pair of blue eyes stare half hidden from their sunken sockets.
She tentatively wipes away the mist with slow strokes.
The towel wrapped around her starts to slip to the ground.
Naked in front of the mirror at twenty two she still remembers what her boyfriend said about her when she was twelve.
A twelve year old girl stares back through the mirror.
A ten year old lie.
