A journey into the worlds of the mind
Endless tendrils creeping out
Drawing you in, ensnaring thought
Grabbing you by the hair at night
Pulling you into the worlds of your mind
Sink into it, just sink into it

Fingers scrabbling, desperation rising
Grabbing at anything, anywhere
Wish for a surface, gasping for air
Anything worth clinging to
There's nothing there

So tired of living for everyone
No race of your own to run
Long for burning insatiable need
Some great goal or tangible deed
Think of it, just think of it

Write every story but that which is true
Make them crave instead of you
Give love of pain to the one with a brain
Why should it matter if they're not even real?
They aren't the ones who have to feel

Tangle of words, growing ever stranger
Step calm, you aren't the one in danger
You're the little girl whose Daddy's always there
You're the wiseman with the color-changing hair
Become it, just become it
