about the stage of the famous annually cycle race that took place in Cork one year
TOUR DE FRANCE INTO CORK

The tour de France came to our shore
It certainly was not a bore
All the cyclist’s, cycle along our roads
There were loads and loads and loads

Our beautiful scenery was admired
From Dublin too Cork desired
They followed there route
For the final too obtain their loot

They came too Cork we were there
All of us gathered too cheer
They were fast through the streets
Italian’s, German’s and Greek’s

It was all over in seconds you know
It had it’s spectacular highs and low
Now it was all over and done
Then there were bands, clown’s and fun
