my view on how a love normaly begins and ends

A love begins as lust
With a pattering heart
Anxious waiting to meet again
Sleep filled with dreams of the one you love
And endless thoughts of the other

Progressed through time
Lust becomes companionship
Long silences that are anything but awkward
No longer feeling the need to impress
The butterflies have been removed from your core

Love has captured the two bodies
As understanding of another becomes like understanding yourself
Forgiving mistakes
Looking forward to being in the others presence
Self-consciousness has become a thing of the past

Time becomes the couples’ greatest enemy
The relationship has come to a plateau
Nothing new or interesting has occupied the enemy
Boredom and emptiness are common emotions
The one being again become two

Finally all loving feelings are replaced by hate
You start to emotionally pick the person apart
Your lovers’ flaws are no longer endearing but annoying
You dread meeting
Quarrels replace conversation
