This is my first ever love poem, written straight from my heart. I hope you enjoy it!
The desert was long, a journey so treacherous,
The future was tainted with rue,
My morals dehydrated, all hope had dried up,
Just then, I laid eyes upon you.

A mirage, a vision, or blissful delusions,
Whatever the situation,
From those bland grains of sand arose luscious, green valleys
For you’d become my one motivation.

Ironic, it seems, how my life was my death,
Burned to ashes was my skin of self-worth,
The rain so rejuvenating smothered those flames
As it was you, who sparked my rebirth.
