I got the idea for this poem when I was on the bus.
Gone


He said he would be gone by Friday
What did he
Mean?

Was he going on a trip?
Or was it something more
Sinister?
Something from which he
Knew there would be
No Return?

But if this were the
Case why was he so
Nonchalant?
