This is about how I felt in high school, always outside the crowd.
You look at me
And don’t understand
I look like you
Yet I don’t fit in
I’m masquerading
In this life
Trying to be something
I’m not
You want me to act
A certain way
Play the game
And follow your rules
But I won’t
I refuse to obey
You think you know me
But you don’t
I’m just a misfit
Trying to blend in
To the conforming norm
Without giving in
