another poem from a non-poet.
Walk with me
Walk with me, not in front of me, pulling, pulling, pulling.
Walk with me, not behind me, dragging, dragging, dragging.

Because if you walk in front of me,
How will you be able to see me, and also see the path ahead?
How will you know if I've stumbled?

And if you walk behind,
How will I be able to see you, and also see the path ahead?
How will I know if you've fallen by the wayside?

I can't calm your fears, because you fear yourself.
I can't answer your questions, I have no answers.
I can't carry both you and your luggage, leave it.
I can't promise the future, only hope for it.
I can't show you the way, I can only explore it.
I can't validate you, only you can do that.
I can't make the past safe, only hold your hand.

All I can do is share the path with you.

So... walk with me.
