Sometimes it's really hard to let go.
I rip the mast down
Get rid of the all the crew
Even the Captain I try to drown
But the ship is as good as new

Why can't I sink the ship
I wish i could sail on
Why can't I sink the ship
When willl this feeling be gone

I'm shooting the canons backwards
I'm walking the plank as well
But I'm also the captain
The crew, and the sail
As to where we're going
No man can tell

So I ask myself, what to do
When there is land I've never kissed
I may never find land that is new
For all I can see is mist

It's the best trip, it's the worst trip
It's driving me insane
Yet there's no other boat I'd rather be on
For the happiness is worth the pain

I'll just sail on then
And hope to find one day
A land that I can call my own
Until then though, on this ship I will stay
