Flash fiction-The kiss that ended my life
"Huh, you really expect me to believe you over my best friend?" I asked the stupid little guy standing next to me.

"Yeah, yeah I do. Please Renee, believe me! She's going to k-kill you!"

"Now why should she do a thing like that?"

"Because she's mental."

"Well," I responded, "That much is true. But what about her trying to kill me? I mean, I am her best friend."

"That I can't tell you." Damian whispered. "Please, just come to my house tonight. I'll explain everything there."

"Alright, but this better be good."

"Don't worry," he said over his shoulder as he walked away, "It will be. It'll be worth dying for."
...
Damian passed a small drink over to me, and sat down with a small 'plop' beside me. His house was roomy enough. A big TV, shelves, books(which I doubt Damian had ever touched), and a nice couch. And there was no one else in the house.

Damian smiled warmly, and turned the TV on. "What do you wanna watch Renee?" he asked.

"I want to know why you brought me here." I replied evenly.

He nodded and said, "Definantly comedy."

As Damian flipped through the channels, I began to feel uncomfterble about this whole thing. Kira would never hurt me, except maybe with her words, but she would never ever kill me. So why did I let this jerk talk me into coming over to his house?

Damian yawned after a while, and slid his arm over my shoulders, and held onto me. I shifted, trying to remove his arm without seeming rude, but he seemed to notice, and removed his arm. I smiled, and he smiled back, and grabbed my hand instead. I tried to concentrate on the show, but found I couldn't. I was too interested in keeping track of what Damian was doing.

"Renee," Damian asked.

"Yes?"

"Will you go out with me. I mean, it's not like you have a choice now, is there?"

"What do you mean? And heck no! No way, you're my friend and that's it!"

Damian sighed, and turned away. "I was afraid it would go down this way." he said almost more to himself than to me.

"Down what way? What are you talking about?"

"Renee," Damian said turning suddenly, his eyes alight with some new flame of hope, "Will you let me kiss you once. Before you go I mean?"

"Uh, no!" I said, reaching for my jean jacket. I was getting scared, and wanted to go home.

"Please?" Damian asked in the sweetest voice he could muster. "Please Renee, just one kiss, then you can go."

I knew that Damian was stronger than myself, so trying to run wouldn't cut it. If I wanted to leave, I'd have to let him do what he wanted. "Oh Ok." I mumbled.

Damian, wrapped his arms around me, and held me tight, then kissed me, but not with his lips.

"I'm sorry, but if I can't have you, no one will." And then he slid the knife across my throat and there ended my life, with a kiss of Death.
