Tears in her eyes
Nobody knows
Hidden from sight
Hidden from everyone
Only she knows

Hidden from the world
In her heart
Joy and sadness
Side by side
Together

She yearns for something
That could never be real
She wonders
Whether it will be for always
Or only temporary
An illusion
A futile dream

Her heart bursting with joy
Her heart bursting with sadness
For something that is found
Yet already lost
