A haiku I wrote for a contest with the prompt "Field of flowers".
A field of flowers
Ethereal and waving
In the gentle wind

Flooding my senses,
With vanished recollections
And crushing brightness.

Falling to my knees,
A tearful prayer on my lips
I lend them my cares,

And my words are borne
To the unending heavens
With their sweet perfume
