something old with something new...
It was an almost kiss.

There was a club, and lights.
People dancing, smiling and drinking.
Cigarette smoke in mid air dancing.
Beats of unknown songs flowing.

A hello was disguised as a goodbye.
For a moment there was no movement.
His hand moved slowly to her lower back.
Her hand on his shoulder barely touching his neck.
Electricity is what it was, a spark.

For a moment loud music was on mute.
Strong and fast rhythms were not felt.
Faces went completely blurred.
His eyes and her eyes became a single stare.
Seconds, minutes, it could’ve been hours.
Time was of no value.
Foreheads touching, noses closer.
Lips so close they were breathing the same air.

For a moment she felt her soul.
She felt it being ripped out.
For a moment he couldn’t let go.
He felt if he did it would die.

The tension was real.
The moment was real.
The energy was real.
The temptation was real.
The almost kiss, was real…
