I wrote this on a whim, after reading R. Kippling's "If".
I’ve heard our actions are what define us
And even in death we make our final act
So why not live to be remembered
And live in infamy, fame and fact
Live fast die young and hard
Leave an impression not easily forgotten
Scream out at the world and go down with a finger up
In remembrance of all your deeds good or rotten
Make your mark slam down your final hand
And in the end you’ll be reborn
Not as a man but as a god
A new king made from a shadow torn
Embrace your youth not to let it slip
Stand bravely in the darkness of night
Never quiver the light will come
And with it a newfound hope and might
Be honest, be faithful, be sincere and true
Life is what you make not what it makes you
Face your greatest fears head on
Never let them win
And in the end your greatest battle
Will be a battle you can win
Never run from your problems
Make them run from you
Give back what is given
And be sure to pay your dues
Respect your friends
Be there when they fall
Because without those who love you
You have nothing left at all
Pledge allegiance stand-up for what is right
You cannot always follow others
Sometimes you must stand alone to fight
Heed the call of your fellow man
Never let humanity slip you grasp
In the end we are all brothers
And we have to make that last
Follow these words they are simple and true
Live life to the fullest and the world will never forget you
