This is a poem that I wrote to my father for fathers day and I fell in love with it.
Daddy, when I was a little girl I always looked up to you. You were my hero when I was growing up.
Daddy, you always taught me to have respect for others and always have respect for myself.
Daddy, some things changed as I grew up I was becoming the woman you wanted me to be. As I grew up you were more of a friend than my father.
Daddy, what I really needed was my father and my best friend.
Daddy, just remember I will always be your little girl!!!
Then came the day you became a grandfather.
Daddy, you seemed so happy. Your eyes lit up so much when you entered my room. I could tell you were proud of me and you seemed so happy to see your grandson for the first time.
Daddy, I will never forget that day because I had my father and my best friend there with me.
Daddy, I love you so much.
As the months went by the day came for you to give your little girl away.
Daddy, as you walked me down to my soon to be husband I seen that same spark in your eyes, they showed so many emotions. There was happy, sad and most of all there was proud.
Daddy, I know it felt like you were losing your little girl.
Daddy to tell you the truth in my eyes I will always be your little girl no matter what we may go through.
Daddy, you are still my hero and my best friend. By the way daddy I will always be that little girl that followed you around everywhere.

I love you Daddy!!
