I know that you had hopes.
Small golden treasures which
relied on me to be
fulfilled -

I know that I have shunned
your gifts, and cannot
produce the jewel of your
imagination.

Please forgive me that the
eyes of my soul cannot
stand the brilliance of the
Bounty.
