Part two of a small series I am trying to start, please try to read part one.
Alone-part two

It was a cold night. Nobody could get any sleep although they were working all day and night during the day before. The sun had already set and the stars now illuminated the sky. John and the other survivors of the plane crash were using extra clothing such as sweaters and shirts they had recovered from the crash as a form to keep warm. Many of the people were completely wrapped up in pants and shirts so much that they had almost entirely looked like masses of laundry. John had been able to scavenge for an extra pair of socks from his own luggage, which he had used to keep his feet warm. In the distance, cries could still be heard from the mourning of lost ones.

A man near John stood up shouting out to the heavens, ”Where did it all go wrong? Lord, why must we suffer? What did we do to deserve…” “Shutup!” A woman yelled in the distance. “Your damn complaining doesn’t make anything different!” John, trying to muffle the sound of the noises all around him pulled a jacket he had found over his ears. How could anybody rest in conditions like these.

No one had even tried to search the island for food to add to their limited supply. Feeling his eyelids slowly drop John dove off to sleep escaping the morbid cries around him.
