Ravens Flight

It was a could foggy morning when raven awoke from its sleep It took to the sky’s without hesitation and soared down the valley Toward  the creek  were salmon spawn in the BLANK It suddenly stops to sit on a branch eyeing something in the brush It was the warm rotting carcass of the younger Dakin boy From the small town 4 miles away  The boy had bin there for at least two days  And was starting to turn  The leaves of fall blew over him as if he was part of the forest The raven takes flight again heading towards the town  He’s close to the ground now almost colliding with red soft top BMW Who honks as he swerves the raven pushes on through the woods down the road  The raven passes the sign outside the town that says welcome to crescents creek town of peace and serenity as the raven entered the town a cold breeze struck the citizens of crescents creek the raven headed towards the Dakin’s house.
Bobby Dakin was in the middle of ninth period  English when The cold chill hit him he shrugged it off as if it was nothing Bobby hated English and would draw during his class For some reason today he found himself drawing a raven sitting of a branch looking through the forest he thought nothing of it cause random things have always popped in his mind an dominated his drawing the bell rang and bobby  ran out of class to his locker were his red headed friend Pete asked him were his brother was bobby thought briefly and ran to his bus when he got on the bus his brother was not there He thought to himself lucky him he must of stayed home from school.
The bus ride was long and strenuous when bobby got off the bus he fell and dropped all his things as he looked up the raven looked down from the telephone wire it was perched on. Bobby picked up all his things and walked in the house calling for his brother “Mikey” “Mikey you here”. He put everything down and searched the house no one was there. Bobby made a bowl of Honey Smack’s cereal and sits to watch TV. The raven sat outside watching him threw the window. Bobby hears a car door outside and walks to the door his parents Jim and Susan walk in “hey what do you guys want for dinner”. Bobby says ‘what do you mean you guys isn’t Mikey with you.” “He didn’t come home with you on the bus” his mom Susan says. “No I didn’t see him all day”. That’s when his parents face dropped and they had no idea were Mikey was they called all of his friends houses and spoke to there parents and called the police. Finally the just went out and looked bobby went with his mom to check by the school and his father Jim went to go check the playgrounds and neighborhoods on the other side of town. They pull off and go there separate ways. Bobby watches the raven as it lifts from the branch looks at both cars and fallows the father.
Mr. Dakin drove down the street with millions of thoughts flying around his head like moths flying blindly around a light on a dark night. Where is his son, is he okay, and how did he let this happen. He must of went through a million different scenarios by the time he got to the first playground. He parked and got out faster then an anvil falling from the heavens. He checked the playground and the porta john nothing not even a sign of his son. He then ran to check the woods and train tracks behind the old base ball field. Mrs. Dakin arrived to the school and went inside to ask around. Bobby walked the field calling his names looking in trees that they’d climbed in the past. Bobby couldn’t think straight he was beginning to panic and blame him self. When his mom came out of the school with principal saying that he was not inside. They both looked at bobby very strangely and asked him “bobby has mikey ever mentioned running away or a secret place to get away?” bobby thought to himself and said “ the woods out side of town are the only place I can picture him going maybe he’s there.” Mrs. Dakin gave her number to the school principal and left with bobby to the woods.
Meanwhile Mr. Dakin was walking up the hill over the train tracks. He heard a noise something moving in the forest he looked around seeing leaves blow through the woods then looked up at the trees as he stepped over the tracks and he looked down and saw something under the leaves he looked closer and fell back in shock Mr. Dakin lost his footing and slipped hitting his head on the tracks. The raven spun around and stood on Mr. Dakin’s fore head which began to bleed resting on the cold steel of the railroad track. “the raven squacks” as the phone in Mr. Dakins pocket rings. “Why is your father not answering” yelled Mrs. Dakin to Bobby. Bobby didn’t reply. “Forget it we will be there soon and we will find them both” I hope she’s right bobby thought to himself.
When they got to the woods Mrs. Dakin got a call on her cell phone from the crescents creek sheriffs department. Bobby went to look for his brother while his mom talked to the sheriff. Bobby called for his brother and tried to put himself in mikey’s shoes “were would I be if I was him” bobby said to himself. Mrs. Dakin got no good news from the sheriff he said they have not found mikey either and that they want the rest of the family to come in for questioning. Mrs. Dakin slamed the phone closed angrily and walked into the woods calling Bobby and dialing her husbands number in her phone. Bobby found a good tree buy the train tracks and climbed it to get a better line of sight. He yelled down to his mom that he was up there. A train flew down the railroad in the back round. Mrs. Dakin proceeded to call .................
