Darkness, Death
Darkness

I close my eyes as darkness claims me.
I gasp as I look upon the memories I had tried not to see.
The hate-filled trauma I had locked up, put away.
Instead of the ones filled with laughter, with gay.
The seconds tick by and so does my life.
The pain takes over and stabs like a knife.
I let the blood pool out of my veins.
Death overcomes me and holds fast with it's reigns.

Time Lost and Forgotten

Nothing's what it appears to be.
I couldn't see you leaving me...
All I needed was the truth.
I'm alive but dead inside.
Breathing, shallow gulps of air.
Hanging on to a thread of hope.
My heart ripped apart.
The view so dim...
My sight lost and shadowed with doubt.
Strangers to friends to lovers.
What a fast transition.
Like a newborn child to a lifeless corpse.
Where did the time go?
I can no longer breathe.
I strove to be perfect.
And I didn't mind pretending you were mine...
I've now lost all hope.
You stole my heart.
Sold it away.
To another...
I now walk in shadows.
I watch as people lie and cheat.
And laugh when they fall into the real world.
A world that's only getting worse with lost time...
