A story etched forever more
Upon silken skin.
A painted warrior, an ode to love,
Stories from within.

Their meaning is not always clear
And colours fade with time,
But inky pictures on the skin,
are not a crime.

Most think these etchings tales of
Drunken nights gone by,
But they will tell you if you ask,
The how, when and why.

They stay with you forever more,
Stamped on silken skin.
A reminder of the life you had,
Or the new one you begin.
