river of life


River
Ribbons of blue
Like lines on a hand
Carving the path they take
Life, Death, Happiness, Solitude
Rigidly set rules
That are ever changing
A beginning, an ending
Always and never
Calm and clear
Yet murky and treacherous
Can it be this way?
Can it be any other!
