Does it matter that our skin is different
I yearn for your love, your touch and your feel
You yearn for mine too
Yet something keeps this love at a distance
Should we really care and allow the resistance

I see you staring through the corner of your eyes
Trying to hide your deepest emotions
Too afraid of what your peers may say
Still your face ignites when I pass your way

I dream of you every night and wonder if you do
Love me as much as I wish you would
I know your parents may not be too fond
Dont allow it to destroy a potential bond

Our prom night is approaching, and I'm still anticipating
That sexy red dress is waiting to be worn
So are you going to give me the pleasure
Or will the world's view be your measure

I'm sure I heard you whisper one time
That chocolate goes well with milk
The day you brushed my sleeve and said sorry
It's ok, dont be in such a hurry

After the good school days are over
Who will be there to judge us
Dont listen to the crowd, they'll keep us apart
Dig deep inside and follow your heart
